- Sažetak pisati hrvatskim i engleskim jezikom (prema primjeru) koristeći najviše 1800 znakova po jednojezičnom tekstu.
- Napisati imena i prezimena autora, naziv i adresu institucije, te naslov priopćenja. Brojevima označiti pripadnost autora ako su autori iz različitih institucija.
- Sažetak napisati tako da sadrži: namjeru (cilj) rada, upotrijebljeni materijal i metode, rezultate i zaključke.
- Označiti broj teme (navedene u znanstvenom programu) u koju se uklapa podneseni rad.
- Označiti način izlaganja rada(usmeno ili poster), te eventualno korištenje LCD panela.
- Rad poslati u dva primjerka, kao ispis i na disketi, s nazivom neformatiranog zapisa ("ASCII") i korištenog programa, najkasnije do 15. travnja 1997. Na jednoj disketi može biti poslan i veći broj sažetaka.
- Svi prihvaćeni sažeci bit će tiskani u Zborniku. Znanstveni odbor Kongresa odabrat će najbolje radove za tisak u časopisu Periodiocum biologorum u obliku izvornoga znanstvenog članka.

- The Abstract should be written in English and Croatian language (refer to the sample) using 1800 characters at most for the unilingual text.
- Type in author's name(s) and surname(s), institution(s), city and country, and then the title. Use numbers to indicate author's affiliation.
- Organize the text of the paper as follows: state specific purpose (aim) of the study, materials and methods used, summary of results and conclusions reached.
- Indicate the topic number (listed in the scientific program) related to the submitted paper.
- Indicate preference for oral or poster presentation, as well as need for LCD panel.
- Send two copies of the paper. Also, provide the floppy disk containing unformated file(s) ("ASCII") of the paper(s) and indicate the computer program used. Deadline is April 15, 1997. The disk may comprise a few papers.
- All accepted papers will be printed in the Proceedings of Abstracts. The Scientific Committee of the Congress will select the best papers to be published as the full-length articles in the journal Periodicum biologorum.
